MATiAS pieces fall somewhere between avant-garde and vintage workwear, into the realm of "post-heritage" - where the techniques and materials of the past intersect with new ideas and original styles. Designed and manufactured in-house at their LA workshop, MATiAS produce some of the best fits we've experienced, with subtle and sometimes unusual tailoring details, employed deliberately to perfect drape, enhance comfort, & compliment their remarkable fabric choices. The Anacapa Blazer is one of MATiAS's more formal styles, cut as an evening jacket, with a rounded shawl collar, trim fit, and sleek welted hand pockets. The body is fitted, but not slim or tight, with tailored sleeves and a single vent at the rear hem for ease of movement. The 1925 version features a few changes over the standard model, with a slightly shorter torso, a 3-button placket, and a modified pocket configuration. It's made from the Aspa indigo cotton, a plush 11.5oz fabric with a gentle, springy drape and a very soft hand. The indigo body starts out a deep, rich blue, but will continue to fade over time as the garment wears in, developing a unique patina in accordance with how it's worn. Inside, it's lined for extra ease of layering and for additional insulation. True to size with a cropped fit.
