1920s "Sashiko" Montgomery Trousers - Deep Indigo
From Victorian era curiosities to early 20th century equestrian and motorcycle wear to rare WW2 era items - Black Sign garments are beautifully constructed, with a shared identity and aesthetic cohesion running through the collection to a degree we rarely see in brands focusing on reproductions & recreations. The Montgomery trousers are based on US Navy trousers from the 1920s. They feature two front patch pockets and one back pocket along with a buckle back. Black Sign reinterpreted these swabby's trousers in a lightweight cotton sashiko dyed with natural indigo. They are finished off with decorative 1930s Tagwa palm buttons. The fabric is a 100% cotton Sashiko dyed in black and natural indigo. As the trousers fade with everyday wear and tear, the black will color will come through the indigo giving the vest a rich depth of color. Fits true to size.
