Key Features of the Carolina CA7028 Soft (Plain) Toe — No safety toe cap. Waterproof SCUBALINER™ — Carolina's sealed proprietary waterproof lining system. Kharthoum Cigar Leather Upper — Rich, durable full-leather build. Removable Kiltie — The fringed leather flap over the laces; keeps debris out, and lifts off if you'd rather go without. Removable AG7™ Polyurethane Footbed — Cushioned support with a moisture-management system. Mesh Lining — Breathable interior. Electrical Hazard Rated — Tested to withstand up to 18,000 volts at 60Hz for one minute without leakage. Triple-Rib Steel Shank — Serious torsional stability underfoot. Welt Construction & One-Piece Rubber Lug Outsole (90° heel) — Rebuildable, with a defined heel for climbing. Built to Be Rebuilt Welt construction stitches the lug outsole to the upper rather than gluing it. Paired with a triple-rib steel shank and full-leather upper, this is a boot meant to be resoled two or three times rather than replaced. The 90° Heel A squared-off heel breast gives you a positive edge on a ladder rung or a form board — the reason loggers and linemen prefer it to a rounded heel. Why Choose the CA7028? A dependable waterproof 6" boot with a classic kiltie, real shank support, and a welt platform you can resole. Similar Styles to Consider Need a safety toe? The CA7528 is the composite-toe version.
