History: Topeka finished their 1947 campaign with a stellar 83-55 record, two games back of the Salina Blue Jays.Topeka had three players among league leaders: Butch Nieman (HR and RBI), pitcher Ross Grimsley, Sr. (strikeouts), and pitcher Lee Dodson (ERA and winning percentage).
