History: The Washington Black Senators, led by future Hall of Famer Ben Taylor, played in the Negro National League for one season in 1938 when the Washington Elite Giants moved and became the Baltimore Elite Giants. The team posted a miserable 2-13 record, and following that season the Negro League Baseball hole in Washington D.C.'s heart was filled by the Washington Homestead Grays.
