Gherig’s team was the Larrupin’ Lous, and Ruth’s the Bustin’ Babes. In each game, the Yankees teammates would take a spot in their own line-up and the rest of the team would be made up of local players, meaning every stop in the 20-city tour offered fans not just a chance to see the league’s biggest stars, but play alongside them. This hat is a recreation of the one worn by the Bustin’ Babes in 1927, featuring genuine wool broadcloth and the team’s double-B logo in black-and-white.
