Avet Classic SX 5.3 MC Reels
The Classic series is Avet's last generation of standard reels that have since been replaced by the G2. This SX is a sweet 12-25lb reel, the drag on this small size is 9lbs at strike and 14lbs in full which won't stop any huge tuna but it's plenty for local fishing for sculpin, sand bass, calico bass and will even do great for halibut and yellowtail. On the east coast it also makes for a great fluke or tog reel. These models feature the MC cast control which makes them great for casting small jigs, irons, and hard baits. All of these are LEFT HANDED reels, before buying please make sure you know you want a lefty reel. We've got these reels at a clearance price because Avet found a pallet of parts for these even though they've been discontinued, so we've taken everything they will be producing. These are still new and mostly freshly assembled reels that still carry Avet's warranty and parts support.
