1211 Angelica Top-Harper-Painted Stalk
Following in the footsteps of the Bloomsbury artists, we drew inspiration from Matisse, who worked in the same era. Like Matisse, the Bloomsbury bohemians were influenced by middle eastern textiles and the notion of merging the decorative arts with paintings, towards abstracted strips of color and flattened space. We hand-painted the floral stalk featured here and enjoyed indulging in finding an unexpected color palette. This feminine v-neck layer tee (previously known as the Lightweight A-Line Layer Tee), made of our soft organic cotton jersey, gradually flairs in a gentle A-line, with a slight downward curved hemline at the front and back.
